The inflection was meant to be serious despite the girlish, high-pitched tone. Regardless, the girl looked up from her book.
Ikki scrunched her face in determination and perservered, gathering courage in one deep breath before saying, “I think Korra should be Bolin’s volcano princess now.”
The book crashed to the ground, pages rippling in the small tornado Ikki’s confession had created amongst the two.
